As the vast majority of our parts are made of stainless steel, and stainless steel is by default about as green a material as exists, we are understandably proud of our product.
There is no waste in the product, it can be used again and again; it’s the ultimate recyclable material. Stainless steel is 100% recyclable into the same product with no reduction in quality.
The main source of raw material for stainless steel is recycled scrap metal: over 90% of all new stainless steel is produced from it and 92% of the stainless steel used in architecture, building, and construction applications is recaptured and recycled at the end of service.
If being environmentally conscious is important to you, you can’t do better than using stainless steel products.
As for our Tensile wire range, our products are Suitable for Timber & Metal posts with runs of less than 10 metres.
Don’t skimp... We ONLY use marine grade 316L 316L Grade Stainless Steel: Also known as "Marine Grade" or “Surgical grade” as it contains Molybdenum to resist the corrosive effects of NaCI or salt in sea water.
316 Stainless Steel offers better corrosion than 304 Stainless Steel for those projects in coastal locations. Although it is not completely rust proof the alloy is more corrosion resistant than other common stainless steels.
Want to avoid the tea staining brown look of wire?
We also have electropolishing available. Even with 316L stainless steel, the twisted strands of wire balustrade can often allow for the capture of contaminants that may eventually cause your stainless steel to tea stain (turn brown) Consider Electropolishing - This finish results in a smoother, shinier and brighter surface finish as well as enhancing the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel.
